Start with the equipment you want to run
A three phase upgrade should start with your expected loads and existing supply. Tell FH about EV chargers, air conditioning, solar inverters, workshop machinery or other equipment you intend to install. Some projects can use the existing supply with suitable load management; others require a network-approved upgrade.
Consumer mains, switchboard and metering
The work may include overhead or underground service arrangements, consumer mains, switchboard and main-switch changes, protection, earthing, metering coordination and testing. A larger inverter or an extra charger does not by itself confirm that the existing cables or network connection have enough capacity.
Coordinate the upgrade before installation
For renovations and commercial projects, share your plans early so the electrical supply, equipment phase and metering can be coordinated. FH confirms the proposed scope, any supply interruption, access and relevant network or meter-provider requirements before work is arranged.
What to send FH
- Site address and whether it is a house, shop or commercial building.
- Photos of the existing switchboard and meter taken from a safe position, without opening covers.
- The equipment or upgrade you are planning, plus any network notice or project drawings.
- Access restrictions and your preferred timing.
FH reviews the information, confirms whether a site visit is needed and issues a written scope and price. Availability, network approval and any additional work are confirmed for your site.
Common questions
Does a three phase connection automatically give me unlimited power?
No. Available capacity depends on the network connection, service equipment, consumer mains, protection and approved design. FH assesses the complete supply path for the planned loads.
Can I keep a single phase solar inverter?
This depends on the inverter, network requirements and the proposed wiring design. Send the existing model and installation details; equipment compatibility is assessed for the site.
How much will the upgrade cost?
The price depends on the existing service, cable route, switchboard, metering and network requirements. FH provides a written quote after reviewing the site information; this page does not promise a fixed installation price.
