Private power pole replacement

If you have received an Ausgrid defect notice, send FH the notice, reference number and site photos. We review the listed defects, including point of attachment (POA), private pole and service cable issues, then confirm the repair scope and required network coordination.

Temporary power poles and switchboxes

FH provides temporary power poles and site switchboxes for construction works. The following rules apply to the supplied switchbox and accessories.

Switchbox service rules

  • The first 12 months of switchbox service are provided free of charge.
  • After 12 months, switchbox service charges start from A$70 per week.
  • If the switchbox or its accessories are lost or damaged, compensation of A$1,000 plus GST (A$1,100 including GST) is payable.
  • By accepting our electrician’s services, you accept our service rules.

New Private Power Pole Installation * The original overhead service route from the network service pole to the existing POA would cross over the neighbouring property’s airspace, which does not meet current clearance and service installation requirements. * A new private power pole was installed to provide a compliant overhead service connection without crossing the neighbouring property’s airspace. 3. Consumer Mains Replacement * The existing consumer mains cables were undersized and required upgrading. * Replaced the existing consumer mains with appropriately sized cables to meet current electrical requirements and ensure safe, reliable power supply. 4.
